PACE First Responders Offer

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, CSU Bakersfield Extended Education is offering a free course within select certificate programs to our brave first responders who are currently putting themselves in harm’s way to care for those with COVID-19 and protect society at large.

The offer applies to new or currently enrolled first responder students in the following programs:

New students can choose to take a single course for free without applying for admission to a certificate program. Should new students choose to apply for admission to any of the certificate programs listed above, the application fee for one program will be waived in addition to receiving the first course free. The offer is good through December 31, 2020.

How to Receive a Free Course

Students must be certified or licensed healthcare professionals or first responders such as LVN, RN, PA, MA, EMT, paramedic, police, fire, correctional, and probation officers. Other professionals may be considered. All requests will be verified and reviewed for approval by a committee.

Currently enrolled or new first responder PACE students can enroll in the course of their choice by completing a registration form and emailing it, along with a photo or scan of their work ID, to Jennifer Patino at jpatino@csub.edu
