COVID-19: Extended Education office closing, in-person instruction ceasing

March 17, 2020 Stacey Childress - Director of Marketing and Communications Stacey Childress News

As of March 17, 2020 at 5 p.m., the CSUB Extended Education and Global Outreach (EEGO) office is now closed to the public until further notice as the CSUB campus begins its next phase of social distancing measures in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.

While the physical office is closed, our entire staff is working remotely and is available during normal business hours. Additionally, we will be releasing instructions regarding how to submit forms, applications, and other documents to us digitally until our office re-opens. These instructions should be posted to the Extended Education website no later than the end of the day Wednesday, March 18th.

In addition to the administrative office closing, all in-person instruction will cease at 10 p.m. on March 17th. This is an acceleration of the previously announced transition to alternative forms of instruction. Programs that are already 100% online will continue without disruption through Friday, March 20th.

Most programs – both online and in-person – will pause instruction starting Saturday, March 21st, and continuing through Thursday, March 26th. Instruction for most programs will resume Friday, March 27th, or thereafter. Please see the degree program and professional and continuing education transition pages for additional program-specific details.

The EEGO staff is committed to maintaining the high level of service that students expect of us during this trying period. To this end, EEGO will be deferring payment plan payments and waiving late payment fees through at least April 10th for Spring 2020 enrollments. Application fees for Fall 2020 admission will be deferred as well. More details about these and other payment policies will be available on Wednesday, March 18th.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to finalize transition plans for each program!
