Start the Year One Step Closer to Graduation
Make progress toward your degree before spring semester begins. CSUB’s Winter Session 2027 gives you an opportunity to earn college credit, complete a requirement or make room in your spring schedule. With an accelerated session between fall and spring, you can focus on a course that moves you closer to your goals. It’s a chance to catch up, get ahead or explore a subject that interests you while keeping your education moving forward.
This year’s session runs December 21, 2026 – January 14, 2027, with 12 days of instruction. No classes will be held December 24 – January 3, giving you a holiday break between class meetings.
Winter Session welcomes current CSUB students, students from other colleges and universities, and eligible community members.

- October 26: Winter Session registration begins

- December 22: Last day to receive 100% refund for dropped class
- December 23: Last day to Add classes
- December 23: Last day to change between Audit, Credit/No Credit, and Letter grading
- December 26: Last day to receive 60% refund for dropped class – No Refunds after this date
- WINTER HOLIDAY BREAK: December 24, 2026 – January 1, 2027
- January 4: Begin Late fee of $25; adding on or after this date requires instructor approval
- January 4: Census Day
- January 4: Last day to withdraw from classes without a “W” being recorded. Withdrawals from classes after this date will be permitted only for serious and compelling reasons and require approval by instructor and Extended Education
- January 10: Last day to withdraw from classes for a serious and compelling reason; withdrawals after this date require petition for exception
- January 14: Last day of class
- January 15: Final Exam Day
- January 17: Grades due

Tuition & Fees
Tuition details for Winter Session 2027 are as follows:
CSUB Extended Education makes every effort to keep student costs low; however, all listed fees are estimates and may be increased or modified — including after initial payment — in accordance with approval processes and the Working Families Student Fee Transparency and Accountability Act (Education Code §§66028–66028.6).
Note: Financial aid may be available for current CSUB degree-seeking students. Please contact the CSUB Financial Aid office for additional information.
How to Register
Current / Continuing CSUB Students
Continuing CSUB students may register through their MyCSUB account.
Non-CSUB Students
New, off-campus students, students from other colleges and universities, and community members may register by completing a registration form and emailing it to wintersession@csub.edu. Registration forms can also be dropped of in person at the Extended Education office. See the campus map for location.
Drop & Refund Policy
Failure to withdraw/drop a course in which one is officially registered, but does not complete, will result in a grade of “F” or “No Credit." Students are not dropped automatically for non-payment nor non-attendance. It is the responsibility of the student to drop themselves from a course.

Refunds are based on the date when the official withdrawal is received in the Extended Education office. If you need to drop a class, you may do so via your myCSUB account, email, or mail through the Extended Education office. The day you drop online, or when the form is received in our office, is the official date of withdrawal and determines the amount of refund, if any. Allow up to six weeks for refunds to be processed. If you do not receive your refund by that time, please contact the Extended Education office at wintersession@csub.edu. A delay in dropping online or submitting required forms may result in a reduced refund and/or be subject to $25 administrative fee.
