Continuous Enrollment for Graduate Standing

Graduate students are required to maintain continuous enrollment from the time of first enrollment in a graduate program until they receive their degree. However, graduate students are not required to be enrolled in the summer unless instructed otherwise by your department coordinator or committee chair. CSUB Extended Education offers continuous enrollment courses for students that have completed all coursework and are completing their comprehensive exam, thesis, project or dissertation. Such students can enroll via Continuous Enrollment and maintain good standing with the university. This course is offered at a reduced rate and utilize active faculty for oversight.

Continuous Enrollment: Graduate students who have completed all other coursework will be allowed to enroll, with department consent, for zero-unit continuous enrollment courses through the Extended Education office. Graduate students enrolled in continuous enrollment courses in this way shall retain the privileges of regularly matriculated students: access to e-mail, library, learning management systems and faculty.
