B.A. in Sociology

People-watching can be more than just entertainment - it can be an intriguing and rewarding career.

Knowing why people behave in a certain way and what influences that behavior is hugely beneficial in many professional areas. Meaning a degree in Sociology offers countless career paths from which to choose and a solid future. Our BA in Sociology emphasizes the systematic study of human behavior in social groups and focuses on how people coordinate their activities to achieve both individual and collective goals.

As a CSUB Sociology graduate, you’ll be able to take your advanced people person skills and apply them to a successful career in counseling, social work, family planning, teaching, marketing, law enforcement, realty or consulting, to name a few.

*Degree is offered via a mix of online and in-person classes at the College of the Canyons campus in Santa Clarita.
