Dr. Eugene Wang

Dr. Eugene Wang is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at California State University, Bakersfield. He holds a B.S. in Physical Education and Coaching at Wuhan Sports University, M.A. from the University of Northern Iowa in Leisure, Youth and Human Services and a Ph. D. from the University of South Carolina in Sport Pedagogy. Dr. Wang teaches coursework in measurement and evaluation in Kinesiology, child and adolescent physical activity and health, technique of teaching physical activity and fitness, and physical activity for diverse populations.

Dr. Wang incorporates various instructional strategies and cutting-edge research into the curriculum to promote student learning.  Dr. Wang has published four chapters of books, 28 peer-reviewed research articles and delivered 25 refereed presentations at national and international conferences. In recent years Dr. Wang has focused his research on physical activity among diverse populations, development of skill competence among school children, teaching effectiveness, and physical education teacher education.
