Pat Person has been a practicing pharmacist since 1984 and is currently the Pharmacy Manager at Ming & H Drugs in Bakersfield. After attending CSU Bakersfield for one year, he made his way to Corvallis, Ore., and completed his education at Oregon State University.
In addition to his responsibilities as a pharmacist, Person has been active in the local and state pharmacy associations, most recently serving as the president of the California Pharmacists Association. Pat's passion is mentoring, demonstrated by his work as a preceptor for pharmacy students at schools across the country – including University of the Pacific, the University of Washington, Campbell University (North Carolina), and the University of South Carolina.
When not precepting Pharmacy students, Pat enjoys helping students prepare to serve in the profession as technicians. He has been associated with pharmacy tech programs in Bakersfield since 2003 and is excited about the opportunity to bring his knowledge and expertise to the program at CSUB.
Person enjoys opportunities to educate others about the profession of pharmacy and has been a presenter and panel member at the UC Davis Pre-Health Professions National Conference each of the past two years.
