By earning a B.A. in Communications, Chandler Marlin '20 gained a newfound confidence in herself thanks, in part, to the online Communications Degree Program offered by CSUB Extended Education.
“It’s something that I never thought I’d accomplish and I finally did,” Marlin said. “It’s given me more confidence to believe in myself and to know that I can do something when I set my mind to it!”
Two years after earning her Associate's degree, Chandler decided to go back to school to get her Bachelor’s Degree. She was looking for a degree that could help her career flourish and chose communications because of the potential opportunities it provided.
“I think my story can be empowering because I never thought I would go back to school for my Bachelor's after I completed my Associate’s I took time off and then realized how important it was to receive my Bachelor's.”
Chandler works as an invoicing clerk for Cast and Crew, a company that supports a diversified group of entertainment industry companies with payroll and production workflow management services.
Marlin plans to pursue a career in the entertainment business casting and producing for shows and movies.
