Course Drop & Refund Policy

Failure to withdraw from a course in which one is officially registered but does not complete will result in a grade of F or No Credit. If you need to drop a class, you may do so via your myCSUB account, in-person, email, fax or mail through the Extended Education office, (661) 654-2441. If the course is cancelled for any reason, student will receive a 100% refund.  Failure to drop/withdraw from a course in which one is officially registered but does not complete, will result in a grade of F or No Credit. It is the student’s responsibility to drop/withdraw from a course.  Not attending a course does not mean a student will be dropped from that course.

Fall 2025

16-Week Course:
August 25 – December 15, 2025

September 22Last Day to Withdraw from Classes without a “W” being recorded; withdrawals from classes after this date will require approval by the instructors, advisor, and Dean/designee of the School of the student’s major and will result in a “W” being recorded.

8-Week Course - Session II:
October 20 – December 15, 2025

  • Course cancellation - 100% refund
  • On or before October 24 - 100% refund
  • On or before November 4 - 60% refund

Summer 2026

Refund Policy for full 10-Week Term:

  • Drop PRIOR to the first day of the Semester – 100% refund
  • Drop on or before June 5 – 100% refund of course fees
  • June 22 is the LAST day for partial refund (60%)
  • NO REFUNDS after June 22

 

Refund Policy for Session I:

  • Drop PRIOR to the first day of the Semester – 100% refund
  • Drop on or before June 5 – 100% refund of course fees
  • June 10 is the LAST day for partial refund (60%)
  • NO REFUNDS after June 10

 

Refund Policy for Session II:

  • Drop PRIOR to the first day of the Semester – 100% refund
  • Drop on or before July 13 – 100% refund of course fees
  • July 18 is the LAST day for partial refund (60%)
  • NO REFUNDS after July 18

Refund Policy for Class with Five or Fewer Meetings (or Online Course)

  • Withdraw prior to the second meeting (or by the 4th day on an online course) full refund less $25 administrative fee.
  • Withdraw after the second scheduled class meeting (or after the 4th day of an online course) and prior to a date at which 25% of the course has elapsed – 60% of course fees refunded. No refund after 25% of the course has elapsed. 

Refund Policy for Class with Four or Fewer Meetings

  • Full refund less $25 administrative fee prior to the first meeting.
  • Withdraw after the first meeting and prior to the second meeting - 60% of course fees refunded for the classes with 3 or 4 sessions; no refund for classes with 1 or 2 sessions.

Course Cancellation for Any Reason

  • A full refund of fees will be made

Project Management Certificate Program Drop Policy

Add / Drop Form
