Online professional development for teachers
Gaining that extra bit of knowledge from your peers, your family, your students, and of course, your University can only lead to greater things. We’re here to do our part by partnering with Virtual Education Software, Inc. to offer graduate level continuing education courses online for K-12 educators. The interactive courses will provide the expert instruction you’re looking for, at a pace that fits your day-to-day schedule. Plus, VESi courses are now tablet compatible, making it easy for you to re-certify anytime, anywhere with reliable, stable online access.
CSUB and VESi advise that you check with your school district and/or state licensing agency to verify these course offerings will meet your district and/or state requirements for salary advancement and/or state certificate re-licensure. If you are desiring to apply this coursework towards a degree program, you will need to seek approval from your University.
Although VESi courses are asynchronous (at your own pace), Extended Education follows the CSUB main campus academic calendar for term registration and grade submission. This may mean a student receives a grade of “I” or incomplete for a course in which they have not submitted all required course work. An “I” can be changed once all work has been submitted and the Extended Education office receives a "Change of Grade" form. Students typically have one year to complete all coursework and earn a letter grade before the incomplete rolls into a grade of “IC,” which is equivalent to an “F." However, an instructor can still submit a "Change of Grade" form for an “IC."
