Program Outline and Requirements

Lower Division General Education

All lower division General Education (GE) coursework will be completed at an accredited college prior to entry into the Online B.A. in Sociology program. Students should request a CSU General Education Certification when requesting transcripts.

Lower Division Prerequisites from a Community College or University (4 courses)

CSUB equivalents to the following courses:

SOCI 1008: Introduction to Sociology
MATH 1209: Elementary Statistics or SOC 2208: Intro to Statistics in the Social Sciences
SOC 2300: Race and Ethnic Relations or SOC 2400: Sex and Gender Issues
