Application to the B.A. in Communications program at CSU Bakersfield requires the following:

  • One official hard-copy (unopened) or digital transcript from all colleges attended. Digital transcripts must be sent directly from the college attended to dptranscripts@csub.edu

  • Signed Technology Contract (included within application)

  • $70 application / evaluation fee

How to Submit Your Application

Complete your application online through Cal State Apply. Select "Communications" under the "Bakersfield Extension" section. Complete all the necessary steps and submit.

Application Deadlines

We offer start dates for three terms throughout the year. Please see the deadlines below for each term. Note: Applications submitted by the priority deadline will receive preference for inclusion in a particular term should we receive more admissions than slots available. 

Fall Semester Admission:
Priority Deadline: May 1
Regular Deadline: June 1

Spring Semester Admission:
Priority Deadline: October 1
Regular Deadline: November 1

Summer Semester Admission:
Priority Deadline: February 1
Regular Deadline: March 1
