Course Refund Policy

If the course is cancelled for any reason, student will receive a 100% refund.  Failure to drop/withdraw from a course in which one is officially registered but does not complete, will result in a grade of F or No Credit. It is the student’s responsibility to drop/withdraw from a course.  Not attending a course does not mean a student will be dropped from that course.

Fall 2021

16-Week Course:
August 23 – December 14, 2021

  • Course cancellation - 100% refund
  • On or before August 27 - 100% refund
  • On or before September 15 - 60% refund
  • After September 15 - No refunds


8-Week Course - Session I:
August 23 – October 15, 2021

  • Course cancellation - 100% refund
  • On or before August 27 - 100% refund
  • On or before September 7 - 60% refund
  • After September 7 - No refunds


8-Week Course - Session II:
October 18 – December 14, 2021

  • Course cancellation - 100% refund
  • On or before October 22 - 100% refund
  • On or before November 2 - 60% refund
  • After November 2 - No refunds

Summer 2021

10-Week Course: June 1 – August 10

  • Course cancellation - 100% refund
  • On or before June 5 - 100% refund
  • On or before June 22 - 60% refund
  • After June 22 - No refunds


5-Week Course - Session I: June 1 – July 7

  • Course cancellation - 100% refund
  • On or before June 5 - 100% refund
  • On or before June 10 - 60% refund
  • After June 10 - No refunds


5-Week Course - Session II: July 12 – August 10

  • Course cancellation - 100% refund
  • On or before July 16 - 100% refund
  • On or before July 21 - 60% refund
  • After July 21 - No refunds

Project Management Certificate Program Refund Policy

Course cancellation - 100% refund
Before first day of class - 100% refund
After first day, but before fourth day of class - 60% refund
After fourth day of class - No refunds

Day count includes weekends and holidays


 

General Refund Policies

If a course is cancelled for any reason, student will receive a 100% refund.

Failure to withdraw from a course in which one is officially registered but does not complete will result in a grade of F or No Credit.

Refunds are based on the date when the official withdrawal is received in the Extended Education office. If you need to drop a class, you may do so via your myCSUB account, in-person, email, fax or mail through the Extended Education office, (661) 654-2441. The day you drop online or when the form is received is the official date of withdrawal and determines the amount of refund, if any. Allow up to six weeks for refunds to be processed. If you do not receive your refund by that time, please call the Extended Education office at (661) 654-2441. A delay in dropping online or submitting required forms may result in a reduced refund and/or subject to $25 administrative fee.
